AVIATION ENGINEERING
Flight dynamics & aviation simulation
Souxmar develops flight dynamics models, aircraft systems simulation and flight control algorithms for fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters. Our engineering work connects mathematical models, control software and reference data to support design analysis, controller development and simulator integration.
For aircraft developers, aerospace equipment suppliers and simulation teams that need a flight dynamics model, a control law, a subsystem simulation or a defined integration module.
Discuss your requirementsFlight dynamics and aircraft systems modeling
Models represent rigid-body motion, aerodynamic forces and moments, propulsion, flight control actuator dynamics and selected aircraft systems. Model fidelity and degrees of freedom follow the aircraft type, flight envelope and intended use. Aerodynamic data, mass properties, reference frames and model assumptions are documented so the model can be reviewed and reused.
Flight control law design and closed-loop analysis
We define control objectives, sensor inputs, actuator limits and operating conditions before developing and tuning control laws. Work can include state feedback, PID control, state estimation and analysis of stability, tracking and disturbance rejection. Candidate algorithms are evaluated with the aircraft or subsystem model against agreed performance requirements.
Model verification and validation
Verification checks equations, units, coordinate transformations, interfaces and numerical implementation against the model specification. Validation compares model responses with suitable aircraft, subsystem or reference data for the intended use. Comparison cases, error measures, parameter sensitivity and the limits of the available evidence are documented.
Engineering simulation and simulator integration
Models and control algorithms can be implemented in MATLAB/Simulink, Python or C++. Integration can cover model-in-the-loop (MIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL) and scoped hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, as well as real-time execution and cockpit interfaces. A pilot training simulator adds learning objectives, instructor tools, visual systems and debriefing to this engineering foundation.
Starting your project
Provide the aircraft or subsystem definition, intended use, flight envelope, available aerodynamic and propulsion data, mass properties and reference measurements. For controller work, include sensor and actuator specifications, sample times and performance targets. We agree on model fidelity, evidence and deliverables before development.
Project questions
How does flight dynamics modeling differ from a visual flight simulation?
A flight dynamics model calculates aircraft motion and response to forces, moments and control inputs. A visual system renders the scene. An engineering or training simulator integrates these components with defined timing, interfaces and model fidelity.
Can you work on a single aircraft subsystem?
Yes. The scope can start with an actuator, propulsion system, controller or other bounded subsystem. Its inputs, outputs and operating conditions are defined so it can connect to a wider aircraft model later.
Does the service include aircraft or simulator certification?
The service provides engineering models, software and test evidence within an agreed scope. Airworthiness approval, independent assurance and training-device qualification are separate requirements; no certification status is implied.
